Pirate Adventure Land, Ray & Barbara Kelly, Coes Road, Dundalk
Grant Committed: €65,000

The Kellys set up an indoor adventure play centre in Dundalk, consisting of a main play area for 4–12-year-olds, a toddler area for 2–4-years-olds and a ‘waddler’ area for 1–2-year-olds.  It provides interactive, physically challenging equipment suitable to stimulate children in all age groups, all within a safe environment. It is the first venture of its kind in the county and provides a much-needed child-friendly facility for the Dundalk region. The grant given by Louth Leader facilitated meeting the capital costs required to get the venture off the ground – and it’s been flying high ever since.
