Project Capital Committment : € 47,974.00

Louth Craftmark Craft Development Programme was established in 2000 by project partners, Louth County Enterprise Board, Louth LEADER, Dundalk Employment Partnership and Drogheda Partnership.  The socio-economic business drivers which lead to its development included the stark realisation that the craft industry was one of the most vulnerable micro enterprise sectors in the Irish Economy.  Yet, all market research showed that the potential for growth looked more than just promising.  According to the Crafts Council of Ireland, the Irish craft market was recorded as €98.6 million in 2003 and grew to €131.7 million in 2005.

Louth Craftmark, the leading craft retail outlet in the North East.  The store, located in the recently unveiled Highlanes Gallery, Drogheda is undeniably unique in the country and is the first retail outlet to showcase the collective work of talented Louth designers and makers.  There is a wide variety of merchandise available ranging from home and interior accessories, ceramics, sculptures, furishings, to personal fashion accessories, headwear, jewellery, leather handbags, woolens and much more.
