ECDL - Using the Internet

This course covers the "Information and Communication" module of the ECDL ( European Computer Driving License).  At the end of the course the student can take the ECDL Module 7 (Information and Communication) exam. There are 7 modules to complete in order to obtain the ECDL. This course can help you get one module completed. Another way of doing the ECDL is through FAS eCollege.

On completion of this module you will be able to:

- Understand some of the concepts and terms associated with using the Internet, and to appreciate security considerations

- Accomplish common web search tasks using a web browsing application and available web search engine tools

- Bookmark web sites, print web pages and search outputs, navigate within and complete web based forms

- Understand the concepts of electronic mail (email)

- Demonstrate the ability to use email softward to send, receive and attach files to mail messages

- Be able to organise and manage message folders/directories within the email software.
