ECDL – Presentation

This course covers the Presentation module of the ECDL ( European Computer Driving License).  At the end of the course the student can take the ECDL Module 6 (Presentation) exam. There are 7 modules to complete in order to obtain the ECDL. This course can help you get one module completed. Another way of doing the ECDL is through FAS eCollege.

This course will cover the following ( more details can be found on www.ics-skills.ie):

1    Using the Application
2    Developing a Presentation
3    Text and Images
4    Charts/Graphs, Drawn Objects
5    Slide Show Effects
6    Prepare Outputs

ECDL

The ECDL syllabus covers basic computer skills and the use of common applications in the workplace and the home. It is divided into seven modules, 6 practical and 1 theoretical. A test in each module must be passed before the ECDL is awarded.

The 7 ECDL modules are as follows :
Module 1
Basic Concepts of Information Technology
Module 2
Using a Computer and Managing Files
Module 3
Word Processing
Module 4
Spreadsheets
Module 5
Databases
Module 6
Presentation
Module 7
Information and Communication

The tests in these modules can be taken in any order.
When a candidate registers on an ECDL programme, they receive a Skills Card on which their progress through the seven tests is recorded. When all seven modules are completed, the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) is awarded.
